The Nanday Conure, also known as the Black-Hooded Parakeet, is an energetic and striking medium-sized parrot native to the central regions of South America, spanning Bolivia, Paraguay, northern Argentina, and parts of Brazil. They are readily recognized by their distinctive velvety black facial mask and beak, contrasting beautifully with an olive-green body, bright blue wash across the upper chest, and bold red "thigh" feathering along their lower legs. Water:
Provide fresh, clean, filtered water daily in heavy ceramic bowls or stainless-steel dishes. Conures frequently "dunk" their pellets or toys into their water dishes, making multiple daily water changes necessary.
