The Knight Anole, native to Cuba, is the largest anole species, reaching up to 18-20 inches in length. Recognizable by its vibrant green color with occasional white or yellow markings, this diurnal lizard requires ample space and thrives in warm, humid environments with plenty of climbing options.

Sexing:
Males are larger and have more pronounced dewlaps compared to females. Males may also show territorial behavior.
Enclosure:
Minimum of a 40-gallon terrarium with vertical space, equipped with branches, plants, and hiding spots to mimic their arboreal nature.
Substrate:
A mix of coconut fiber or soil and orchid bark works well to retain humidity. Regularly replace or clean to prevent mold and maintain hygiene.

Water:
Provide a shallow water dish and mist daily; they often drink droplets from leaves.
Supplementation:
Calcium with D3: Dust food 2-3 times weekly.
Calcium without D3: Use on alternating days if adequate UVB lighting is provided.
