Temperament:
Mostly calm and slow-moving but will defend itself with a strong pinch if threatened.
Enclosure:
Minimum 10-gallon terrarium with secure lid
Provide a deep substrate (4–6 inches) of coconut fiber or peat moss for burrowing
Include hiding spots like cork bark, bark pieces, or half logs
Maintain good ventilation to prevent mold growth
Substrate:
Moist coconut fiber, peat moss, or soil mix
Keep substrate slightly damp but not wet to simulate rainforest floor conditions

Ambient Temp: 75–85°F
No special UV lighting required
Use heat mats or room temperature to maintain warmth
Humidity:
High humidity around 75–85%
